A Room of One's Own
A Room of One's Own (2017)
Digital print on paper
90 x 700 cm
A Room of One's Own is a text montage of the book it borrows its title from, an essay by Virginia Woolf published in 1929. Paragraphs and chapter divisions have been removed in the montage so that the text entirely covers a 7 meter long and 90 cm wide page, leaving no margins or visual gaps on the page. Certain sentences are bolded and printed in red, which guides the viewer through a non-linear reading of the book, and at the same time through the script for the performance that took place within The Family Dinner.
